Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Primary owner of vehicle with co-signer, who has taken possession

I purchased an automobile with a co-signer that I did not need however I was helping him to re establish his credit. I have made ALL payments on time and paid All insurance premiums. He has now left and has taken possession of the truck. I feel confident he will not make the payments and want possession of the vehicle. Is there a way to remove him as co-signer or sign the truck over to him (it is still being financed) without affecting my credit? Who legally has possession?

He as legal possession because he is a co-owner. You have equitable and legal rights because you have made the payments. Sounds like you are going to have to assert these rights at the courthouse in a lawsuit.
