Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

How do I stop harrassing phone calls from collectors?

I have received 6 unprofessional phone calls from a collection agency on my phone at work? I return their phone calls explaining that the gentleman they are looking for is no longer at this office and hasn't worked here for 2 years. I've given them the phone number to remove from their database 3 times. They are extremely nasty on the phone with me. Do I have any legal recourse to keep them from calling my number and being rude on the phone with me as I'm not even the person they are looking for?

Contact you phone company and explain the situation to them. This is in the nature of harassing phonecalls. If you were the debtor you'd be protected, but simply being the business owner gives you only the protection that everyone has against harassing telephone calls.
