Evidence must not have a break in the chain of custody. For example, if an officer finds a gun he must be able to identify it in court. In order for him to do so, offiers write there initials somewhere on the gun to prove that the gun is the same gun that he found.

Likewise if its not the same gun, the gun can not be admitted into evidence, or if there is a break in the chain of evidence from one person to another that is another situation where the evidence will not be admitted.

But, you need a lawyer to fight your battle.
