Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

What to do? Life on a straight path now?

I just wanted to ask what i could do to clean up my record. I have 2 convications one (aggravated assault w/deadly weapon 2. Resisting arrest. I commited the agg assault back in 2001 and since then i have turned my life around to better myself. I have done everything that has been asked of me on my probation and have stayed out of trouble. I also enrolled in school to future my education in computer technoloy and want to pursue bigger and better jobs. It feels like i'm stuck here and if i leave my current IT job i might not find something better which i know i could if i didn't have this record. My PO said that i'm on defferd so really i'am not convicted but that i still have the possibility that they won't hire my because i was charged. I have now been with my current employer 3yrs and got the job before i messed up big. I have learned from my mistakes and know that i didn't make the best decesion. I would erase it if i could because now i know what life is really about. And now it seems like i can't purse it. Any advice please help.

If you have a conviction you can look into an expunction.

If you have deferred they may mark the records as to non-disclose.

Is either a conviction?
