Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

court order for CPS information

Can a person request a court order to have confidential CPS information released to them, ie:reporter's name? Is the reporter notified of court proceedings? Or notified if said information is released to the family?

You can go to court and subpoena CPS to turn over their records.

I recommend that you hire an attorney in order to make sure that the right person at CPS is handed the subpoena and that the paperwork is done properly. Otherwise, the subpoena won't work.

They are NOT obligated to tell you who reported you.
