Divorce; house

Getting a divorce and my spouse says I can keep our almost 2 yr old house. I am writing up the divorce decree. What should I ask in paticular? and does he need to fill out a quit claim

Based on what you have written, you should review the Texas Family Code for the language to be included within the final decree. Generally, a quit-claim deed will generally suffice; but you may want to consider a special warranty deed or general warranty deed.
