Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Enforce divorce decree

My ex-husband does not pick up the child as stated in the the divorce or pay the every other Dr's appoint co-pay. How can I enforce this? Do I have to go back to court?

Regarding visits, you cannot force your ex to visit the child.

If he is to pick the child up on Fridays at 6pm and he does show up until Saturday at 10am, then he has missed his visit. You are not "held hostage" for the entire week-end.

If he is arriving at 7-pm instead of 6pm, then I recommend modifying the pick up time. In large cities, like Houston, traffic is horrible around 6pm. I encourage people to pick up earlier or later if possible.

Regarding medical, you would have to go to the Judge and ask the Judge to hold him in contempt of court and order him to pay you. Most judges will also have him pay all or part of your legal fees since you were "forced" back into court to get him to do what he was ordered to do.
