Unfortunately, the answer is -- I cannot answer your question without more information.

If you are asking if you are common law married, it certainly fulfills one of the requirements.

Common law marriage has other requirements in the State of Texas.

For example -- If you are married to someone else, you cannot be married to this person since you can only be married to one person at a time in Texas. Also, TX only recognizes marriage between a man and a woman. If you are underage, you cannot be common law marriage - those are 3 examples of not be common law married in TX. I'm sure there are more possibilies.

You can read the TX common law marriage guidelines on the TX Family Code which available on-line for free. Just Google the TX Family Code and read it for yourself.

I hope that answers your question.

If not, you need to talk to a family law attorney in your county.
