Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have lived in Texas all my life. In May of this year, I moved to CO and got married. I seperated from my spouse in July, and moved back. Do I have to wait the 6 month residency requirement for TX?

In order to file for a divorce in Texas, you need to meet residency requirements before the court can accept the case. If the court finds it does't have jurisdictional rights to hear the case it can be not accepter or will be dismissed. A divorce suit can't be maintained in Texas unless when filed either you or your spousehas been: a domiciliary of TX for the preceding 6-month period; AND a resident of the county where filed for 90-days prior.
