Married but not lived together for 19months
Hi I am 24 years old and I have a 19month old daughter. My husband has always been abusive, but I left him when he tried to hit me and break a chair over my stomach when I was 8 months pregnant. I left him Aug 4th-2007 and have been living with my parents ever since. My husband has been in and out of rehab and has showed no improvement. He finished a 9 month program and was out in the ''real'' world less than 3 months. He called me March 9th 2009 to tell me that he was back at the rehab center where he graduated from. During the 2 almost three month that he was working he never cared to give me any money for our daughter, yet he was very demanding when he wanted to see her. He would just show up at my parents home without letting anyone know that he would be going over. My husband told me that he wants to sign his rights as a father away. I am so confused because I have never gone through any of this, so this is all new to me, and I need to know if my case can be solved? I dont want anything from this man. He is very violent and I am scared of him and terrified of the idea that he is capable of hurting my little one. Please help.

In Harris County, the judges won't terminte his parental rights without a new man to step into his shoes.
