I want to start the process of Child Support but what if the other parent has no income (job)?

If you go to the TX A G office, they will do it for free. However, if he/she is not working, then it will be difficult for them to garnish his/her wages.

You can also hire a private attorney to help you. A parent is ordered to pay c.s. even if they do not work. It will be set at minimum wage child support - approx. $200 per month.
