Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

termination of child

I want to terminate my rights to my daughter. The mother won't let me see her or talk to her. She is 5. If I do this am I still liable for child support until she is 18 even though I won't be allowed in her life or does the child support payments end? Her mom only wants the money and has wrote me a letter saying this and stating she doesn't want me to have contact with my daughter and only wants my money.

Re: termination of child

I don't know of a judge that would allow you to terminate your parental rights and obligations. I know of plenty that would be interested in seeing that letter, and would issue an order of contempt and enforcement on the issue of visitation. Retain a lawyer to explore your options.
