Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Can a Co-Sign Sue

I assisted in helping a car owner install a aftermarket battery, the battery which i gave to him and helped him with free of charge later was involved in the distruction of his wire loom and Computer in his vehicle. He knows I ment no harm and he doesn't want to sue but the co- sign does, even tho the soul owner pays for the car. Can the co-sign sue?

Re: Can a Co-Sign Sue

Unless the co-signer is also a co-owner, I doubt that they have standing to sue.

Not that they can't sue, but that an attorney may have the court throw out the lawsuit once the issue of standing is raised.
