Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Settlement by Guidant of $195 million

I'd told my lawyer that I did'nt want to be part of any settlement, result I'm angry and frustrated because I had no where to turn, This is a settlement between 4000 individual. I had to go for another surgery to replace the AICD I had in me, those things cost $35,000. We had charges in th lawsuit such as: strict liability,Fraud, unfair anddeceptive trade pratices under state law, neglicence,Failure to warm,Intentional Infliction of Emotional Dristress,Unjust Enrichment, under the Senior Citizen and handycapconsumer fraud Act,Texas statutesand/orsimilarstatutesin effect in other jurisditions. Gross Neglicence (Malice), strict liability--designand or manufacturing default.

S0 my anxiety and anger comes for the fact that my lawyer maybe any lawyer for that fact; fail to call their clients and let them know what is going on. Maybe is diferent on an MDL. Any way what is there I cam do. Thank you for your attention

I have a client in the MDL.

Sit tight. Your lawyer can't settle the case without your consent. Your lawyer is probably simply protecting your ability to participate in the settlent if you choose to do do.
