Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

In Texas, I moved out of my ex's house in Dallas in December, and he still refuses to cooperate to return the rest of my belongings that got left behind. He lives in a secure gated community, and I have even asked him to just leave our things outside so I can come pick them up and we don't have to see each other. He has personal items that belong to both me and my daughter, and some of them are irreplaceable. Is there any legal action I can take to force him to return the property to me?

Were u married? if so, file for divorce and get a Court order..if not, call the police and ask them to accompany you back..IF u have a key....if they will not, you may contact local Justice of the Peace to get a writ of attachment...but hope u have a key and can just go get what is yours..
