Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

We are trying to figure out whether we need to build a "case history" of bad behavior in order to fire the cook at our church. Can we just fire her on the spot or do we have to go through H. R. hoops?

Let your conscience be your guide....Texas is a "business" state, ie employers are always right..so one can fire with or without cause. Now if you wish to make the cook not receive unemployment benefits, you must have cause..which really does not have to be built..it exists or doesn't.....
