Retailation

I thought there was a law against retailation/whistle-blowing? Could you explain?

Re: Retailation

In brief, there is a law against retaliation for reporting discriminatory conduct, whether directed against yourself or another, based on federally or state recognized protected classifications (race, gender, age, etc.) There is also protection for state employees in Texas who "blow the whistle" on various kinds of conduct, and some similar protection for employees who work for publicly traded companies in the area of financial wrongdoing. There is, in general, no "whistleblower" or "retaliation" protection for other situations.
