Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

my daughter (a minor) was in a car accident (her fault) and the other car was totalled. the insurance covered the cost of the car but the owner wants me to pay the balance of the loan off. they did not have gap insurance and say they are going to take me to small claims to get their money am I responsible for their loan too?

No. It's not your fault that their loan was under-collateralized.

I agree with the first posting attorney. Get a copy of the release from your ins. co. This should protect you from any future claims for the accident.
