Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I am the driver of 4 in a rear end collision, the recepient. The other party assumed responsability. I was offered $300.00 for medical costs, upon further probing, an additional $500.00 was offered for future costs. No mention of the 3 other passengers, one other adult, one an infant and the other a minor. What is my next option?, I do not think this is appropiate compensation.

Don't do this yourself. The insurance company's duty is to its shareholders, not you. It will try everything it can to pay you the least amount possible for your claim. You and your passengers should speak with a personal injury attorney to discuss your rights and claims. Most (if not all) PI attorneys will meet with you and discuss your case at no charge (myself included). I strongly recommend you speak with at least two or three different attorneys about your case to see who you like the best.

YOU NEED TO FIGHT THIS CLAIM.

DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT A LAWYER

You should not give a statement, give access to your medical information or sign any insurance company forms without speaking to a lawyer.

The insurance company is not your friend and is not concerned with your injuries and pain.

Their goal is to make $ by paying as little as possible on the claim. They will frustrate by delaying payment, giving you a low offer, or denying claim hoping you will get mad and go away.

I should know because I worked as a lawyer for insurance companies for 10 years.

You may make a claim to recover: (1) medical bills; (2) lost wages; (3) compensation for pain, impairment, and disfigurement.

I would be more to talk to you about the accident. I can be reached at (214) 800-3454. We handle cases all over Texas.
