Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

my husband just recently passed and he did not have a will. his mother passed two months before leaving my husband in her will. what are my rights?

I would have to read the will of your mother in law, as it may have survivorship requirements of your husband. As for your husband's estate, the Texas intestacy laws would apply. What you would get from him depends on whether the property he had was separate (such as the inheritance from his mother), or community (other property acquired during the marriage.) It would also depend on whether or not he had children outside the marriage.
