Re: Responsibility of Person acting withPower of Attorney

If you have been named "agent" by a relative who

named you in an agency agreement and it is one

that survives disability then your responsibilities

are generally as follows:

1. To carry out the terms of the Agency agreement.

2. To use reasonable care in managing the Agency.

3. To account for funds expended from the Agency.

4. To notify the principal of anything affecting

the principal (assuming the principal is

competent).

5. To be loyal to the principal.

So long as you follow the above rules you should

have limited liability for managing an agency.
