Can the Executor to a will be held responsible to the deceased debt in the UK even if they are aware of the financial position.

The executors of a will on accepting appointment become liable to creditors of the deceased for payment of all debts owed by the estate, and in the case of a solvent estate would become personally liable for any unpaid debts.
