Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Utah

domestic abuse report dropped

my fiance of 2 years and I got into a dispute the other night. Nothing to crazy- justa bit of throwing things back and forth. I had to go to the hospital for a ruptured cyst on my wrist. I would've never done this if i knew that the state of utah has a law that gives them the right to call the cops, even if they suspect ANY bit of domestic abuse. The cops came. I ended up telling them a little of what happened- and now they want to arrest my fiance and put a report in to the grand attorney. The problem is: We DO NOT want to press charges on eachother- we DO NOT want to pursue anythin at all. I am currently cuccessfully completing a yearand a half of probation- and dont wanna risk this at all, especially over something i dont want to pursue. And my fiance is a seizure victim- and doctors bills are enormous and cannot afford to miss work or anything. We are both here scared, and wished this never happened. My wonderful criminal attorney willaim benge passed away this past year- and i have noone to help us. I dont want this to go any further. Is there any way i can drop this before the attorney gets to decide This small town, lots of rumors, the attorney is not fond of either of us- it'd be bad. PLEASE HELP US I AM DESPERTAE!!!!!!!!

Re: domestic abuse report dropped

Refuse to testify; boyfriend refuses to give statement. Tell the police that you do not want to press charges. If it goes any further call me for a free consultation.
