Re: Internet Business

Under the present state of Inet law, which is constantly evolving, you must be sure you comply with all laws of the state in which you base your business, as well as all federal laws which, of course, apply nationwide. Some states will require you to collect sales tax if you ship merchandise to that state. Any business which is illegal in any state should understand that there is potential trouble ahead. Any business should have good legal advice and strong central bookkeeping. Seek a business lawyer in your area knowledgable in Inet issues. Your local bar association can recommend some if you call them.
