Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
My former doctor submitted a medical bill for two visits to my insurance company 11 months after the visit. The insurance company denied it and the doctor sent the bill to me. I tried contacting the office with no response. 3 months later the bill is turned over to medical collection. Am I responsible for paying this bill when the doctor was in-network with the insurance company and they were supposed to bill directly?
