Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Judgements

I had a judgment taking out against me by the attorney for Citibank...They claim it is only 6% interest...I made payments for 2 years and have only reduced the principal by less than $300...I called them and they said they are not putting the money towards the interest but the principal...When I asked them to send me something for me to understand why after sending them over 1K I had so little off the principal..They said they dont do that...Is there anything I can do about this?...If I stop paying them and put the money in a savings to get enough to pay the judgment off can they come after me again...I do have a homestead exemption filed and my income is judgment proof since I draw disability...Thank you for any advice

Re: Judgements

I advise that you receive (demand) from them a detailed statement of payments and how applied. Thereafter I advise contacting a lawyer as to how to proceed. If you qualify, you may wish to consult your local legal aid group for assisance.
