Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Problem with collection agency.

My sister has an account in collections and the company somehow got my information and have been calling me about this debt. I think Sprint gave it to them as I am also a Sprint customer. They do not have my sisters contact information and she has told me not to give the collection agency her phone number. Am I violating the law in some way by not giving them her phone number and will I be violating the law if I do decide to give them her number? I hate being in the middle.
