Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
False id charge
I have a charge on my record for giving a false id to a police officer. I need to have this removed because it is keeping me from getting jobs. It is not a felony but nevertheless it is causing me a lot of problems getting jobs. How can I get that taken off my record?

Re: False id charge
Va. Code Sec 19.2-392.2(F)allows for the expungement of misdemeanors for first time offenders unless the Commonwealth has "just cause" to object.
