Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Virginia

Possible Internet Fraud

A pornographic website has charged money to my checking account. It is a joint account with my fiance. He said that he did not jion the account. I have tried to resolve this matter with the company that runs the website however they have been far less than helpful in this matter. They seem to contradict themselves constantly as they try to defend their honor. I have now spoken with four different reps from the company to no avail. I believe they may have set up this account without our consent. What can be done in this case?

Re: Possible Internet Fraud

You're talking to the wrong party. Notify your CREDIT CARD COMPANY that there is an erroneous charge on your bill. Easiest to get the correct procedures by calling the number on your bill, unless you actually kept your credit card agreement in your files. The credit card company will almost certainly back-charge the porn site and rescind the charge on your account.
