Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I need help

I am 16 and hate my house for a bunch of reasons and i want out but i want to do it legally so if you would please help me find a way to get out of my house so that i can be a happy person and live my life the way a person should and not have to go through the things that i do. Please help me and tell me if there is a way to leave my house and be on my own.

Whatever allegations, if any, you might have about your parents being "unfit" to have custody would have to be very powerful for you to suceed. In such event, you would be with "foster" parents whom you might not like as well as your own. Secondly, unless you are in dire straits, the Social Services Department (City-County) are not likely to offer legal assistance. So, if you indeed had a "case", you would be looking for around 5 to 10 K dollars in legal expenses. Probable best bet is to contact the local Social/Human Services Agency and try to arrange a voluntary counseling session between you and your parents. Your local pastor and student guidance counseler might also be of assistance.
