I have primary custody of my two grandchildren. My daughter has legal custody. What is the difference between the two and who has the final decisions concerning the children?

Re: Custody

You have physical custody which means that you

have major control over day to day supervision of and decision making involving the children.

The mother has legal custody which roughly means that she has control over major decisions in the children's lives involving such matters as their education(e.g.where they attend school), medical treatment, who they live with and where, or other decisions in their lives which are likely to have major impact.
