Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

grandchild visitation rights

My son and x-wife have joint custody of my grandson. I would like him to be able to visit me this summer but she refuses to let him. Do I have rights as a grandparent? If my son approves-do I need her consent?

Re: grandchild visitation rights

There is legal and physical custody, and court orders, To determine your ability to see your grandchild for the summer, I would need to know more information.
