Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Reply to Divorce Answer

The below statement is what I'm replying to. Does Separation without cohabitation mean I can't see him at all in any type of environment?

You have to live separate and apart continuously from your husband without cohabition for at least six months in order to have grounds for a no-fault divorce in the Commonwealth. (There is no legal separation status recognized in Virginia.)

Your husband, however, apparently could immediately initiate divorce proceedings if he wanted to on the grounds of your adultery(no waiting required).

Re: Reply to Divorce Answer

No, it does not (as long as you don't climb into bed with him).
