Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia
Who has to pay insurance for a condo?
We have been renting the condo we are living in for more that a year now. Now our landlord wants us to get an insurance for the apartment.
Do we have to pay for this insurance or does the landlors has to pay for it?

Re: Who has to pay insurance for a condo?
If the lease requires it, you have to do it. Otherwise, you can be uninsured. But then, if there is a loss, you may be responsible to pay it. Any insurance that the landlord gets will not cover your personal effects and will not cover you if you are at fault in damaging the property.
