Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Virginia

No response from attorney

I continually call my attorney and have sent a certified/registered letter and do not receive a response. What are my options? Is the lawyer in breach of contract?

Re: No response from attorney

You don't have a claim against the attorney for breach of contract unless you have been harmed. However, it sounds like the lawyer may not be complying with his/her obligations (under the contract and as a matter of professional responsibility) to communicate with you. If you get no satisfaction, you can contact the Va. State Bar. Their URL is http://www.vsb.org
