Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia

hospital staff negligence?

When I was getting an epidural to give birth, the anesthesiologist left the needle hanging oddly in my back because he rushed to the side of a intern he was training because he fainted. The nurse that was also supporting me from the front rushed to his side as well and I nearly fell face first on the floor, but my husband caught me as I was falling. Ever since then, I have had issues with my legs tingling and going numb on a very regular basis as well having leg spasms

Re: hospital staff negligence?

you need to see a neurologist to find out why you are having symptoms in your legs...sounds like the could have injured a nerve during the epidural. Once you determine the extent and cause of the injury you can explore the issue of malpractice. Remember you have a statute of limitations to deal with. Be sure that if you pursue a case you do so with an experience med mal lawyer. These cases are tough and expensive. Feel fre to call or email me directly.
