Getting out of a contract

how much do I have to back out of a contract with an attorney handling my personal injury case? Signed contract 12-10-07.

I assume you mean that want to know how much you must pay an attorney that you signed a PI contract with but no longer want his services. the answer probably lies in the contract that you signed with him. Most PI cases are taken on a contingency fee basis but in the event that the client decides to terminate then usually it reverts to an hourly fee and the client pays for the hours that have already been expended on the case but again it depends on the retainer agreement you have with the attorney.
