Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Fell at My Apartment Complex

I suffered a fracture to my left knee cap when stepped into a pvc pipe that was in the ground at my apartment complex. It was covered over by grass and as i was on the ground the apt. manager began pulling up grass from around the area and trying to locate a cap to cover the area. I have at least 2-3 witnesses, taken pictures, etc. One of my witnesses is an EMT(which i would consider very credible). How should I proceed with the insurance company? I was out of work for a month and although I have returned to work, I continue to have pain with the knee when I stand/walk for long periods of time. I also work with at risk young women on another job and have to restrain them from time to time. I am afraid that I may reinjure this knee and have not gone back to this job yet. This job pays well for my area and not being able to work there at this time cuts into my income. Please help.

Re: Fell at My Apartment Complex

You should work up an itemized listing of all of your credible damages/losses resulting from this injury and present it to the apartment complex manager for their response.
