Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Virginia Power Company owns the street light poles outside. on the top side of the pole there is

a support wire that goes into the ground at the very end of my driveway. The support wire is suppose

to have a plastic (white) covering which enables you to see the wire when backing or at night. Recently, my husband was backing his car at night and did not notice that the safety covering

was completely broken off. the wire got caught under his bumper and ripped the entire front of the car off. My question - Is the power commpany liable?

Probably not, under the circumstances described (in my opinion).

However, even if such is the case, that would in no way preclude you from

making a written demand for reasonable compensation.
