Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia
I like to remove name of person on deed to land. the person has not lived, maintain or gave funds to land. I am the only one on the mortgage. I put the person name on the deed. I had the land for twenty years. the person has put off removing name form deed. the person is not family.
How much would cost to legally force person to remove name from deed?

Quite a bit, very likely, unless this person would agree to allow you to
buy out his or her interest in this property to obviate the need for you
to hire an attorney to file a partition action in the circuit court where
the property is located.
