Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

workers comp

I have a hearing next month for workers comp. I could not get a lawyer to take my case.I was hurt on the job in 2006.I was told by several lawyers that I did not have a case because I talked to the ins co. I did receive ttd for 7 months.I was fired before I had surgery for my torn rotator cuff and have never received wc. Do I have a case or should I just for get it?

Re: workers comp

You may have a case. You did not indicate how you tore your rotator cuff. You do have to prove you had a specific accident. You do have to prove this accident caused your torn rotator cuff. This has to be proven by medical evidence. You indicated this happened in 2006. You do have to file a claim with the Virginia Workers Compensation Commission within two (2) years of the date of your accident. Hopefully, you did do this. You can contact me for further legal advice about your situation. It is hard to give you an opinion of the brief facts you recited.
