Legal Question in Disability Law in Washington

Previous Back Injury

I injury my back in Sept. 2004. I herniated a disk and ruptured another. Since, I have healed up and had a few cortizone shots. I'm able to work without pain and am physically able to do whatever I need. ''Provided'' I take my prescriptions daily. I'm trying to get a job with ''a company'' and they made me a conditional offer. The offer states that I need to pass a back ground check and physical. I answered their medical questionaire and after that I got a call from their nurse and she asked me a bunch of questions about my back and now wants all medical records since 2004. My question is simple. I'm the most qualified person for the position ''can explain if needed'' but what recorse would/do I have if they don't hire me based on my previous injury and the fact I still have to take medication daily? Should I not worry about it if I can pass their physicals? They scheduled 3 more appts. for me after they found out about my back. I was up front and honest on my application and questionaire!

Thanks

Dave

Re: Previous Back Injury

What type of job is this? If this is a desk job, their process is ridiculous. If it's a job where you need to use your back, it's not so ridiculous - they don't want you injured on the job.
