Re: Pending with intent to sell drugs

Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal, a statutory alternative to trial in New York State, is not an alternative in Washington state. You may be eligible for Drug Court, which is a treatment alternative in drug cases.

You should retain an attorney or apply for a court appointed attorney. At a minimum, find out whether the county in which your are being charged has a drug court. If so, you can obtain more information from the court clerk, Department of Corrections or the prosecuting attorney's office.

Your question implies that you would likely be found guilty of the charge. In most cases, there are strengths and weaknesses for both the prosecution and the defense that typically lead the parties to some agreed disposition rather than trial. You are not likely to recognize those strengths and weaknesses. Consequently, you will not be in a position to negotiate the best disposition. Get an attorney.
