Can a non custodial step parent put their spouses children on her insurance?

This will depend on the insurance policy. What does it say? In my experience, most employer based health insurance policies allow for this since the non-custodial step parent may claim said child on a jointly filed tax return as a dependent every other year. Still, the best thing to do is call your insurance carrier or check the policy and go from there.
