Real Estate in a divorce

If the house is in husband's name only, he wants to put it in wife's name and give her the remaining payments, does she have to purchase the house from him?

I don't understand your question. If the wife wants to purchase the property from her husband, she certainly can. If the husband wants to gift the property to the wife, he certainly can. However, I can't from the context of your question, determine what you are really asking.
