Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

In April of 2015 our truck was stolen..it took the insurance company over a month to return our calls..they made an offer but left us with about $5,000 to still pay on a vehicle we no longer have..should we take them to court and get them to pay it off in full..

You are only entitled to the actual cash value in Alabama. NOT the amount you would owe for financing it. You are also paying interest in your loan for borrowing the money to buy the car. Without all the information about your car and the insurance claim I am unable to answer your question.
