Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

Should I proceed with a court trial if I am being sued for car damages that I was not at fault for? The police was not called to the scene because the student did not want to call them. He failed to yeild and I hit him in the rear tire. Now his mother is trying to sue me for car damages. The accident was not my fault.

Yes. You need to defend yourself in court. If you do not, then the plaintiff will seek a default judgement against you and could later garnish your bank accounts, wages or other assets you may own to satisfy the judgment.
