Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

My father told me that he had made a will for the children. My stepmother said he did not. My father just pasted away

Not sure what your question is. If you are asking whether he had a will or not, only he could say. The stepmother could've destroyed the will so that she would receive everything or he may not have ever gotten around to drafting one. Unless you can find the original, I am afraid you are out of luck.
