Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

My fianc and I want to get married. Papers were filed and are submitted to the judge in kansas ( custody is settled, everythings agreed upon) and were waiting for the decree to be signed.Meanwhile, we've moved to Alaska. My questions are: 1. How long will it take for the judge to sign the decree? And since I moved to Alaska, do I have to wait 30 days after the decree to remarry ( Kansas state law) or can I remarry as soon as the decree is signed? ( Alaska state law)

It's a mattter of Kansas law as to when the divorce is effective. If, as you suggest, the divorce isn't final until the expiration of 30 days after it's signed, you will still be married until then. And, under general law, including Alaska law, you cannot re-marry while you are still married to another person. The validity of the divorce depends upon the law of the state in which it is entered - Kansas.
