Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona
i had a verbal agreement that if i rented a apartment for me and a friend that he would stay out the lease or pay half the eviction fees. he left after 3 monthes with no notice and did not pay the last monthes rent. if i go to court is there any az state or fedral law that could help me?

The statute of frauds dictates that any debt that is associated with the use/purchase of land must be in writing.
